Neuropathy is relentless.

Left alone, neuropathy is a chronic, degenerative disease that typically gets worse… much worse. Most commonly, it starts with numbness in your feet or a ‘pins and needles’ feeling in your hands and feet. Then it develops into fatigue, unrelenting pain, an inability to walk any considerable distance or stand for prolonged periods of time, and restlessness in the legs, which interrupts sleep. As it progresses, it nearly always seriously affects balance. In its end stages, its path can lead towards potential amputation.

Neuropathy can steal your health, your happiness, and your personal freedom, forcing your dependence on others for even the smallest of life’s tasks. But it doesn’t have to. You can stop neuropathy, and potentially turn it around, with our proprietary home treatment program. Just don’t wait; the earlier you start, the better your results.

How it works.

Our program is comprised of three critical components that all work together to slow down, stop or reverse the progression of your symptoms and help you maintain your progress for the future.

Number 1

A doctor-prescribed, neuropathy- focused diet with specialized nutritional supplementation.

A balanced diet and targeted supplementation help to reduce inflammation, make way for nerve repair, enhance blood flow, support nerve health, and regulate blood sugar levels. We'll help you adopt a plan that's just right for your unique circumstances.

Number 2

FDA-cleared light therapy that encourages better blood flow.

We incorporate a ‘by prescription only’ FDA-cleared low level light therapy device backed by 25 published studies which increases local circulation increasing your body’s ability to provide the essential nutrients needed by your cells to function properly and to help provide pain relief.

Number 3

Digital, FDA-cleared electro-therapeutic stimulation to stimulate dysfunctional, damaged nerves and promote circulation.

Finally, by applying electrical stimulation to affected areas, electrotherapy stimulates both nerves and muscles, providing pain relief. By stimulating the muscles in the calf, the venous muscle pump is activated. This increases blood flow and circulation, resulting in de-oxygenated blood cells and toxins being carried away while new, healthy blood is brought back into the feet.

Nearly every patient accepted into the program experiences significant improvement.

“I more than recommend Dr. Madeira and Dr. Miller because they do what they promise, and the results I have had are well worth it. I knew going in that there is nothing that will bring back feeling in my feet totally, but there has been improvement in the 3 months that I have been doing the program. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!”

“My feet were cold and painful. They were completely numb and I was losing my balance at an alarming rate. The skin on my feet and lower legs was turning bluish-purple. Since starting the peripheral neuropathy program at Madeira, my pain is entirely gone. The numbness in my feet is all better except a bit still in my big toes. My balance is near normal and my skin is 90% back to normal color…all within 12 months. So happy with the results!!”

My Background & Experience

I am a chiropractor with an expansive educational background and over 40 years of full-time clinical experience. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of consulting and treating over 15,000 patients, positively impacting their health and well-being.

I graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Cum Laude honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 1981. Throughout my career, I have pursued numerous postgraduate studies and continuing education courses to continuously expand my knowledge and skills in various areas of health care. I have gained expertise in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine care, neuropathy care, knee and shoulder pain, personal injury, pediatrics and precision spinal correction technique.

Sharing my knowledge and expertise is a priority for me. I have served as an extension faculty member at Palmer College of Chiropractic and Life University College of Chiropractic and as a guest lecturer at Penn State University Medical College. I have also authored several wellness books, including Setting Things Straight, Seven Wellness Secrets That Will Change Your Life and Neuropathy Can Be Reversed- Roadmap to Neuropathy Relief and Reversal.

Most importantly, I am honored to help you—and those important to you—find solutions. I know personally the worry you’re facing, but if you’re like most patients I serve, there is tremendous hope for you.

You don’t have to fall prey to the chains of neuropathy; let’s get you back to feeling like yourself again.

I’m Dr. Kayla Madeira Miller.

Having worked with many people suffering from neuropathy, I know how dramatically it can affect your life. One of my greatest joys in practice is watching the vast majority of our patients get back to enjoying a richer life experience with less numbness and pain, stronger balance, improved ability to walk and stand, better sleep, and no longer taunted by the fear of a gloomy future.

It is so frustrating to see so many of our patients reaching out to us after being told there is nothing more to do except take more medication. Our proactive approach puts you squarely in the driver’s seat—in a position to work on getting better… not just waiting for your disease to get worse. My best advice is not to put off investing in yourself. The worse neuropathy gets, the more difficult it is to help.

My Background & Experience

In 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, GA. Since then, my primary focus has been on providing exceptional care to thousands of patients, nurturing their well-being, and helping them lead healthier lives.

I have always been drawn to specialized care, and I take great pride in my special certifications and training in maternity, pediatric and neuropathy care. Working with patients of all ages has allowed me to embrace a holistic approach to healing, and I am thrilled to be able to contribute to the well-being of people of all ages.

My commitment to continuous learning and growth led me to increased knowledge and understanding of neuropathy. This journey represents my passion for expanding my knowledge and skills in this vital area of chiropractic practice, allowing me to better serve and support those with neuropathic conditions as well.

Beyond my professional achievements, I find immense joy in my personal life. I am happily married and a proud mother of two beautiful daughters, who are a constant source of inspiration and joy.

Being a chiropractor is not just a profession for me; it is a calling that brings me immense fulfillment and purpose. With my specialized certifications and unwavering dedication to my patients, I strive to be a compassionate and highly qualified chiropractor, empowering individuals to achieve their best health and well-being.

You may still be wondering…

What causes neuropathy?

Neuropathy occurs when nerves become damaged or disrupted, interfering with their ability to transmit signals to and from the brain. There are over one hundred possible reasons for this disruption, but here are the most common:

1. Diabetes: Diabetics develop neuropathy in 60-70% of cases.
2. Chronic Spinal Problems: Spinal misalignment and its long-term effects often lead to disruptions to the nerve connections.
3. Medications: Certain medications, such as chemotherapy and some cholesterol-lowering drugs, are known to damage nerves.
4. Exposure to toxins: Agent Orange and alcoholism can disrupt nerve pathways.
5. Trauma or Injury: Physical trauma from car accidents, falls off ladders, etc. can damage nerves.
6. Autoimmune Diseases: Conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and Guillain-Barré syndrome can trigger nerve disruption.
7. Infections: Certain infections, including Lyme disease and shingles, can affect nerve pathways.
8. Vitamin Deficiencies: Inadequate levels of essential vitamins, particularly B12, can lead to neuropathy.

While these are the most common culprits causing neuropathy, about 50% of cases are idiopathic, which means of unknown cause.

Can I stop and reverse the progression of my neuropathy?

The human body is a remarkable self-healing organism, and it has an amazing capability to recover from illness and injury. Understanding and nurturing the body’s innate healing capacity can transform your overall well-being, including slowing, stopping, and reversing neuropathy.

While conventional neuropathy treatment focuses on symptom management, our treatment program offers a holistic approach to reversing effects and maintaining those results for the long term. But urgency is required. Your results are directly related to the progression of your condition, so it is important to seek treatment early for the best chance of recovery.

I am local and can come into the office; what can I expect?

During your initial in-office visit, we’ll do testing to determine the severity of your neuropathy. Once known, we’ll thoroughly explain our program designed to treat both the causes and symptoms of this condition. If you are a good candidate for the program, we will then thoroughly discuss your case, review your treatment plan, discuss the cost and get you started as soon as possible.

I live at a distance; how would the program work for me?

Many of our patients travel from quite a distance for their initial consultation and evaluation in our clinic. In these cases follow-up visits are done by phone every 90 days during the program. We prefer that your initial consultation be done in person, however in the case where travel is too far or too difficult, we can schedule your initial consultation virtually. An evaluation kit is sent to your home in advance to help us determine the severity of your neuropathy. Once your consultation and evaluation are complete, we can determine if you are a good candidate for the program. If you are accepted, we will then thoroughly discuss your results and outline the treatment plan and cost.
The 3-tiered treatment plan (described in our ‘How It Works’ section above) includes a detailed guidebook, specialized nutrition specific to neuropathy, an FDA-cleared electro-therapeutic stimulation device, and FDA-cleared low-level light therapy devices are shipped directly to you so you can begin therapy in the comfort of your home. We check your progress over the phone every 90 days during the program.

My doctor prescribed drugs; should I continue taking them?

It is important that you continue taking all prescribed medications as prescribed by your physician. Most neuropathy patients have visited a physician and most often have prescribed medications to treat their symptoms. We take a much more holistic approach, but any changes to your medication must be done under the direction of the prescribing physician.

Does the treatment really work?

I can tell you from my own personal experience (Dr. Madeira) that neuropathy can be successfully treated holistically. This type of treatment nearly eliminated my neuropathy… but I didn’t wait for it to get worse.

I knew there had to be an alternative to the traditional treatment offered by the medical community, and through my own research, I found a program very similar to the one I offer my patients now. Within months, I achieved significant results.

Today, there are thousands of patients across the U.S. who have found similar success after following this program. To find out if you are an eligible candidate for our program, please book a consultation.

If you live at a distance and can’t travel, book a virtual appointment. We will only invite you to move forward if we truly believe you are a good candidate and will clearly explain the level of results expected before you commit.

I struggle sticking to a diet; can I achieve successful results?

Certain foods are known to aggravate neuropathy and cutting specific foods out of your diet can be hard, but when you are really motivated to improve your health, it makes it much easier, knowing the effort is worth it.

The first 90 days are the most difficult. Our well-balanced diet contains many fresh and enjoyable neuropathy-friendly foods with the focus on eliminating foods known to cause inflammation. After seeing the positive effects of these changes, it becomes much easier to continue following the dietary recommendations.

Those who closely follow the dietary recommendations typically receive up to 20-30% better results.

What happens if I don't treat neuropathy?

Neuropathy is a degenerative condition that, if left untreated, can result in serious mobility issues, loss of balance, pain, difficulty walking, standing, and sleep loss. It steals your personal independence and freedom and results in a reliance on other people for the simplest of daily activities like shopping and personal care. It can greatly impact your quality of life and keep you from enjoying your favorite activities.

Seeking treatment right away provides the best opportunity to prevent or minimize disability, allowing you to maintain a higher quality of life and continue to participate in the activities you enjoy most.

Is the treatment program expensive?

Nearly all health care is expensive, and treating neuropathy (medically or holistically) is no exception. However, when all things are considered, treatment that is effective can save you thousands, save you much pain and suffering, and potentially change the quality of your life for years to come. Program costs vary depending on each patient’s needs. Fees and payment options will be thoroughly discussed with you before committing to any treatment.

Does insurance pay for treatment?

Because peripheral neuropathy is a chronic condition, insurance does not typically cover its treatment, except for prescription medication, injections, wound and infection care, surgery, or other hospital-based end-stage treatment, including amputation. Holistic home-based treatments and therapies are not insurance-covered.

What are my payment options?

We are a direct pay provider, which means our patients pay us directly. This gives us the freedom to recommend exactly what a patient needs without taking shortcuts. What that means for you is that you receive our best care and recommendations.

Most of our patients find our care affordable. For those who need help affording care, we offer several payment options, including outside financing for those who qualify, so you don’t need to delay the care you need.
